Lessons
Location: Private lessons are at 3912 Woods Boulevard. Group lessons on Monday nights are at Engel Hall on the Union College campus. Summer location for group and dates TBD. Fees: All students who will be paying for lessons by the month and who wish to secure a spot for lessons in the fall will be required to pay a $75 registration fee ($100 for families where there is more than one student). Students who register for lessons after January 30th will pay $50. After May 22nd registration is $25. Beginning with September of 2005, students may pay for their lessons for the school year or by the semester. Students who pay for the entire school year (September through June 1st) do not have to pay the registration fee. The first semester goes until the 2nd week of January. Registration fee or payments for lessons for the year are due before August 3rd along with the registration form in order to secure a lesson time. (For students who are at Suzuki Book 4 level or above, a 45-minute lesson is recommended): NOTICE: These are new rates starting in September 2008.

The rate is the same through May, payable by check or cash during the first week of the semester. This is on a basis of 36 lessons over the nine month period, allowing for four holidays during that time - one for Thanksgiving, two for Christmas and one in the spring. Summer lessons will be charged for by the lesson. Missed and Canceled Lessons: During the school year, missed lessons will be charged for. Lessons missed due to illness will be made up according to the need of the student and the time available. Lessons missed for other reasons may or may not be made up depending on available time. If a lesson must be canceled, please call 421-9161 as soon as possible. Lessons I must miss will be made up or the cost refunded. Extra time given before recitals or other performances will be considered make-up time, as will occasional instances when I can run overtime if the student’s concentration will allow and there is no inconvenience to the family’s schedule. For convenience in rescheduling lessons, an appointment book is highlighted with times that are available for make up lessons. Please use this to reschedule lessons by putting your students name in with a note regarding the date that the lesson is a make up for. Graduation & Recital Information: All students may perform at Graduation Recitals are held twice a year. All students are encouraged to sign up to perform. Special Event - Play In: Folsom Children’s Zoo Students who perform get free admission to the Zoo. Holiday Breaks: Labor Day (Monday only) Thanksgiving (Thursday through Saturday) Christmas (Two weeks) Spring Break (Monday through Wednesday) Memorial Day (Monday only) Summer Break: August 9th - September 1st.
